A crisp and refreshing salad enjoyed by the Knights of the Pactagonal Table, Rolith’s Pactagonal Salad is a surprisingly popular (and mandatory) dish for the knights, designed under the watchful eye of its captain, Rolith. As defenders of the throne, the Pactagonal Knights are expected to remain in tip-top shape at all times—which, according to official guidance from King Alteon, includes “eating their greens.”

 

Known for its fresh ingredients, simple preparation, and highly questionable “garnish tradition,” this salad is a favourite for those on duty at the castle gates. Whether served between training sessions or after a long patrol across Greenguard, it serves as a reminder that even knights need something green on their plate… occasionally.

Ingredients 

 

• Fresh mixed salad greens

• 1 handful of lettuce

• Cherry tomatoes, halved

• Cucumber slices

• Thinly sliced onion

• Croutons (optional, but encouraged)

• A light vinaigrette dressing

• “Pickled Rolith” (legendary garnish—handle with respect)

Instructions  

 

1. Wash and prepare all salad greens and vegetables.

2. Combine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion in a large bowl.

3. Add croutons if desired (knights are divided on this matter).

4. Drizzle with vinaigrette and toss gently until evenly coated.

5. Top with the infamous “Pickled Rolith” garnish.

6. Serve fresh. Eat with your visor UP—no knight has ever successfully enjoyed salad through closed armour.

7. Best consumed quickly, preferably before Captain Rolith’s next inspection.
